Notes: 'Resistance is Futile' - The Borg cube is the most terrifying, and most likely the last, sight most inhabitants of the
galaxy will ever see. Designed to aid the Borg's single minded goal of perfection through assimilation, the Borg cube is a
multi-role assimilation platform and combat vessel. A direct assault on a Borg cube rarely succeeds, the cube's high capacity
shields can adapt to any known weapon becoming invulnerable after a few hits. To compound the problem of stopping a cube, the
systems, hull, and drones can regenerate through the use of nano-technology, the cube can also function with damage to 78% of
the ship. Borg weapons are equally as fearsome, being able to adapt to any known shield technology renders the opposing
ship defenseless. The ship can then be held using a high power tractor beam where it can be assimilated or destroyed.
Finally, the Borg cube is equipped with transwarp drive allowing it to travel accross the galaxy in seconds though it lacks
maneuverability at sub-light speeds. The number of cubes may estimate in hundreds of thousands, though one is enough to
devastate an entire planet. Trying to counter the Borg Starfleet has meant with limited success rotating shield and phaser
frequency after each use though the Borg quickly adapt before any real damage is done. Future Starfleet technology, from the
25th century, obtained by U.S.S. Voyager on its return to the Alpha Quadrant may hold the key to eliminating the Borg threat.

Information After the Enterprise-D first encountered a Borg cube in 2365, 70,000 light years from Earth in the Delta Quadrant, the Borg
have made two direct attempts to assimilate Earth resulting in the lost of over 50 starships and thousands of lives with
little or no resistance, only the last minute arrival of the Enterprise averted disaster.
